Ladies' Home Journal caters to the modern woman, who places an importance on fashion, family, beauty, health and fitness. While it’s targeted demographic tends to skew older, meaning you won’t find Britney on the cover, Ladies Home Journal still celebrates the more mature celebrity, and articles go more in-depth than the average women’s magazine. An emphasis is placed on the relationships section, as articles range from dating and marriage, to intimacy and sex. Hair, skincare, makeup and style trends are also splashed throughout the colorful pages, with women’s health issues also addressed. The magazine is a lot of more conservative that it is edgy, and, in fact, does a pretty good job at keeping a status-quo kind of low profile. It doesn’t get into anything racy, as does much of its competition on the newsstands.
